BoomerangsDid you know that boomerangs come back.  Mrs McLennan kindly lent her very sharp knife to some students last week to cut some cakes for their class and although it is not a boomerang, I specifically said to the two girls who borrowed it, that it had to be returned to me. Unfortunately it wasn't, which is very disappointing. Fortunately for Mrs McLennan, Mrs Muter found it and returned it to me.  The point of this notice is that if you borrow an item from someone  then you are responsible for making sure it is returned. It is called consideration and courtesy. 2 of our big C"s.
Staff kindly remember that there is to be no borrowing from the staffroom unless you have run it past Mrs McLennan.

Mufti Day 14th February - NZ Heart Foundation
On the 14th of February, we are going to have a mufti day to raise money to donate to the NZ Heart Foundation.  The fundraiser is in memory of Brodie Cleaver, who was a past student of our school.
The Cleaver family are raising money to support arrhythmia research and our schools donation will join other schools and events happening on this day.
The cost of mufti days is $2, which can be paid to your classroom teacher.  These days are optional, and you may still wear your uniform if you do not wish to take part.
If you wish to donate more to the Heart Foundation, your support for Brodie's family would be very appreciated.
