Amendment: Youth nurse available for Year 9-13 students - Thurs
We are fortunate to have Kim and Laura from the NDHB available every Thursday in periods 1 & 2 and through interval (note amended time).  They are based in the sickbay.  Students should make appointments at the office any time before WAKA TIME on Thursday to see the nurse (there will be a booking sheet that Alice will keep private).  Then, on Thursdays, Alice will send for you when the nurse can see you.  You will also need to check back with Alice after your appointment and can get a return to class slip.

The nurse can see students for a variety of reasons: Cold and flu symptoms, strep throat, skin conditions, infections, sprains and aches, etc, and are able to on-refer and liaise with home.  They are also very skilled in dealing with sexual health issues or questions.

If you are embarrassed to go to the office for an appointment, your Waka/class teacher can email Alice and make a booking for you.

Year 0-8 students, Dee is your nurse.  You MUST talk to a teacher or the office who will advise whether the nurse is the best course of action for you.  Then your teacher will refer you if necessary.
